bread and earth in portuguese stamps, from 1910 to 2000

An outdoor exhibition comprising over twenty banners that show the most important Portuguese stamps on the theme of Bread and Earth, accompanied by proverbs alluding to each stamp on display. From the commemoration of the sixth centenary of the Law of “Sesmarias” (Fallow Lands) to the first Portuguese Republic, the Colonies and the New State, to water and windmills, not forgetting the professions within the bread cycle, festive days and important figures related to the world of bread, such as Brites de Almeida, the famous Baker of Aljubarrota.
