Bread Museum has a special Christmas program
Christmas lights have invaded the Bread Museum and the Christmas spirit promises to invade the hearts of visitors. Even with the cold weather in Serra da Estrela, at the Bread Museum the atmosphere is now even more cozy and the perfect setting to create special memories with family and friends, while exploring the history and tradition of bread through visits and activities in the studio.
The Bread cycle rooms, with moving millstones and agricultural implements, and the Hérmios room where moving dolls explain the bread cycle in an educational and captivating way, continue to be the most popular. But this Christmas there are even more reasons to visit the Bread Museum:
Highlights of the Christmas Program
Lighting: The museum is transformed into a visual spectacle that celebrates the beauty and magic of Christmas, creating a perfect setting for photos and unforgettable moments.
Traditional carousel: An attraction with free access for all ages, the carousel promises fun and joy, evoking the nostalgia of old fairs.
Artificial snow machine transforms the museum’s exterior into a true winter scene and creates an enchanting atmosphere and a unique sensory experience.
Fireplace: The museum’s large outdoor fireplace will be lit throughout the holiday season, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Activities
Visits will continue to be an essential part of the experience, allowing visitors to explore the rich history and culture of bread.
Hands-on: In the workshop, visitors will be able to actively participate in working on bread dough, a practical activity that combines learning and fun. Under the theme “Give Color to Your Christmas”, visitors are invited to create a Christmas piece such as a nativity scene or an ornament for the Christmas Tree that they can take with them.
