As a mark of its 20 years of existence, the Bread Museum is launching its first annual award, a distinction that aims to disseminate and highlight research on bread and bakery cereals.

In celebration of its twentieth anniversary, the Bread Museum launches the first edition of “The Bread Museum Annual Award”. This prize is intended to award a research work within the scope of a master’s degree dissertation or doctoral thesis about bread and/or bakery cereals, presented within the last three years within one of the triennially awarded thematic areas: Nutrition / Food, Food Engineering and History and other Social Sciences.
In 2022, the scope of the award will be Nutrition / Food.
Applications must be submitted until May 18, 2023, and will be evaluated by a jury of excellence that will announce the winner at the Museum’s anniversary day in 2023 in a ceremony.
The winner will be recognized with the publication of his work in a book, under the seal of the Bread Museum. The winning entry will also win a night for two people, at the Hästens Sleep Spa – CBR Boutique Hotel, in Coimbra.
